After the consultation closes
We will analyse all the feedback received.
The findings will help inform the council’s budget-setting process and decisions about whether any of the proposals should progress. A consultation report is expected to be published after the budget decision.
Will the proposals automatically go ahead?
No. The consultation is an opportunity to comment on proposals before final decisions are made.
Depending on the feedback and the council’s budget decisions, a proposal could:
- progress for further development
- be changed
- be delayed
- not be taken forward.
Would there be another consultation?
Where a proposal needs a Traffic Regulation Order or another statutory process, further consultation would take place before implementation.
The cabinet report anticipates that relevant proposals adopted through the budget would be subject to further consultation as part of the Traffic Regulation Order process.
